Frequently Asked Questions

Q What would you offer for my Property?

We are upfront and honest about this. We offer below open market value, as we are not buying on the open market and BUY NOW. Some companies would quote 85% or even an 100% of open market value. This is often misleading as it is a percentage of their low assessment of your homes value. As an indication we would talk 75% - 80% of an RICS surveyors valuation.

Q Will BUY HOMES NOW purchase my property in 48hrs?

If the circumstances require it we can purchase within 48hrs. However this is an extreme example and most people who say this will only go to such lengths when they know you have no choice and their offer reflects this.

Q How soon will BUY HOMES NOW purchase my property?

We respond very fast at every stage of the process and usually complete within 14 - 28 days. This works faster if you use our nominated solicitor.

Q Do BUY HOMES NOW buy dilapidated and uninhabitable properties?

We most certainly do. We can invest a considerable amount of money with a team of builders who would return your home to its original condition. Home buyers are very disearning in this difficult to sell market and this is the best way to eventually sell a property.

Q Do you buy all kinds of properties?

We buy all types of residential properties. From the smallest flat to the largest detached. We don't buy commercial properties.

Q Is this the same as selling on the open market with an estate agent?

No. The agent is testing the market to see what price a regular buyer would pay. They aren't making any commitments. We are.

Q Surely there are hidden costs, what are they?

All the costs are paid by us. The RICS surveyors valuation. Solicitors upto £500.

Q Do I need a HIPs pack.?

No. This is only required when you are selling on the open market. Again this is a benefit of selling to BUY HOMES NOW.

Q Can I try the market first. How long will I have to decide?

Take as long as you like there is no pressure. Our offers are valid for one month. Values can be affected by how many are on the market at once, so we would want to re-assess the situation if you decide after that.

Q I am buying a new build property and the builder is offering part exchange. I want a back up plan.

This is very wise. Builders may offer to part ex your house, however you can often negotiate better when you don't have a house to sell and are able to move now.
